Texans secure first playoff trip in history

The Houston Texans are in the NFL playoffs for the first time in franchise history after a thrilling win over the Cincinnati Bengals. After winning the AFC South the Texans are doing a terrific job selling tickets and fans are hoping for a magical season. The team and Coach Gary Kubiak have done a great job dealing with a rash of injuries so we'll see how they handle the playoffs.

Reliant Stadium was full of family and fans on hand to salute the Texans on winning the division. “That’s what you work for,” said Kubiak. “That’s why we’ve been doing what we’ve been doing, to get to that point where everybody could experience that. The Houston Texans football season is close to over but there are still some big games left before you can cash in those NFL playoff tickets.

Still looming on the schedule are the Carolina Panthers, Indianapolis Colts and the Tennessee Titans, some tough games to be sure. Its great knowing that the Texans are definitely in the playoffs, but Houston still cannot afford to slow down. Kubiak has to keep his team focused, but the Houston Texans are ready. Quarterback T.J. Yates will be looking to hit Andre Johnson and the rest of the receiver core, while running-back Arian Foster is going to do what Arian Foster does. Yates has said he is ready to lead the Texans, so keep an eye on the rookie QB.

And Houston can hang tough, they could get a shot at Super Bowl XLIV. The playoffs are really when the action heats up, and Houston Texans playoff tickets are the biggest of the year. If the Texans can hang tough, they could be playing in the 2012 AFC Championship Game in what would be the biggest game in franchise history. If Houston can make it to the AFC Championship you can imagine tickets are going to be super-hot.

In week 15 the Texans take on the Carolina Panthers and QB Cam Newton, and tickets won’t be around much longer. Week 16 sees Houston take on Indianapolis Colts and their quarterback Dan Orlovsky.
